The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) is UF’s dedicated enterprise for advancing agriculture, natural resources, and life sciences. The mission is to generate and share knowledge in these fields to improve and sustain the quality of human life. UF/IFAS fulfills this mission through the combined efforts of its three core units—teaching, research, and Extension:
• The UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) offers over 20 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, combining academic rigor with hands-on learning experiences. CALS is one of the largest and most comprehensive colleges of its kind in the U.S.
• UF/IFAS research facilities in Gainesville, along with 17 off-campus locations across Florida, are addressing critical issues in agriculture and natural resources.
• UF/IFAS Extension serves every county in Florida, delivering regionally focused expertise and public programs, such as the Florida 4-H Youth Development Program, to support local communities.
By supporting UF/IFAS, you join a network of professionals, students, and volunteers committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact in Florida and beyond.
